Shahar Lily Amiel named in 30 under 30 List

In honor of Shahar Lily Amiel being named as one of Israel’s 30 under 30 in the technology industry, we’re proud to present a short biography of her time at High Lander.

Shahar was first inspired by drones during her time in an elite navy unit, where she worked with drone pilots. Naturally, this led her to join High Lander, a company which sets global standards with its drone software.

Her first position here was office manager, but she rose through the ranks very quickly due to her endless energy and drive to succeed. Today, as VP Strategy & Growth, she’s responsible for driving all of the company’s strategic growth initiatives in Israel and abroad, as well as playing a central role in managing day-to-day operations across departments, and directly managing the marketing department too.

During Shahar’s four-year tenure at High Lander, the company's workforce has grown by more than 300%, and she’s spearheaded some of the company’s biggest projects. For example, she was High Lander’s first project manager for the Israel National Drone Initiative, and she’s personally cultivated and managed relationships with commercial, municipal and governmental contacts in Italy, Brazil, Singapore and the UAE. Her work has directly led to the implementation of High Lander’s solutions at local, regional and nationwide levels worldwide. Shahar has also developed important relationships in Israel, helping the company gain dozens of commercial and municipal clients, which was instrumental in High Lander receiving from the CAAI the world’s first ever license to manage drone activity nationwide. More recently, she’s participated in projects such as the opening of new branches in Israel and Abu Dhabi, and a subsidiary company in Brazil.

Shahar has always been a driven and competitive person - she was the Israel Youth Chess Champion and even has a chess trap named after her (the Amiel Trap, for the chess players among you). That’s why she chose High Lander as the place to develop her career.

High Lander is Israel’s most promising aviation technology company, with disruptive goals that are having a truly global impact. But more than that, it’s a company with a culture that seeks out special talent, and encourages and nurtures professional growth for rewarding, long term careers.

Shahar’s ongoing journey at High Lander is an amazing success story, and we invite anyone who’s interested in participating in the evolution of aviation worldwide to look at our vacancies. We’re always on the lookout for our next superstar…
