Field Validation & UAV Operator

We are looking for a highly motivated Field Validation & UAV Operator to join our Operations Team. This role combines hands-on UAV operations with product validation, acting as an internal customer who continuously challenges, tests, and improves our products through real operational scenarios.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute field validation activities using High Lander’s Orion platform and multiple UAV platforms.

Perform structured flight testing of new product features, software releases, and operational workflows before customer deployment.

Execute weekly field days in diverse operational environments to validate product performance under real-world conditions.

Act as the voice of the operator by identifying usability gaps, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.

Collect and analyze flight logs, telemetry, system data, videos, and operational observations.

Work closely with Product, QA, and R&D teams to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and verify new capabilities.

Document test scenarios, findings, bugs, and recommendations in a clear and structured manner.

Prepare UAV platforms for testing, including firmware updates, payload configuration, communication links, sensor calibration, and pre-flight inspections.

Maintain operational readiness by performing routine equipment maintenance, inventory management, battery management, and basic hardware troubleshooting.

Support customer demonstrations, Proof of Concepts (POCs), training sessions, and internal validation activities when required.

Develop and improve operational procedures, testing methodologies, and best practices for field validation.
Requirements and skills

Licensed UAV/drone pilot, up to 25kg – Must.

1–2 years of employment experience in the drone industry. – Must.

Proven experience operating DJI Enterprise platforms (Dock, Matrice series, RC Plus, etc.) — Must

Experience with additional UAV platforms (Autel, Pixhawk, Skydio) — Strong advantage

Strong technical understanding of drone systems, communications, sensors, and related components.

High technological orientation and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.

Willingness to work regularly in the field and in outdoor conditions.

Ability to handle the equipment and physical demands of the role.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hebrew.

Located within approximately 25km of the company's area of operations – Must.
Nice to Have / Advantage

Familiarity with SaaS platforms and software from the drone and aviation world.

Experience with manual software testing or familiarity with QA principles.
