We’re looking for a hands-on and experienced DevOps Team Lead to head our Core Team . This role combines deep technical execution with architectural oversight and team leadership. You’ll mentor a small team, lead infrastructure initiatives, and support engineering teams by providing reliable, scalable infrastructure that enables efficient development and deployment.

Responsibilities

 

• Lead a focused team of DevOps and senior development talent – including coaching, planning growth paths, and tracking 1:1 progress.

• Own the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of infrastructure architecture (cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability).

• Be the go-to person for cross-team infrastructure support: consulting on APIs, scaling, security, performance, and fault-tolerance.

• Drive technical innovation: introduce new tools and methods, lead POCs, and continuously optimize developer velocity.

• Execute hands-on work in strategic or cross-team initiatives, from cloud cost optimization to microservices transitions.

• Continuously improve infrastructure tooling, deployment pipelines, and monitoring capabilities – with a focus on reliability, scale, and development speed.

Requirements and skills

 

• 7+ years of experience in development and DevOps roles.

• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams.

• Deep hands-on experience with AWS (or a major cloud provider): EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS, RDS.

• Full control of Kubernetes in production and microservices environments.

•  Solid background in Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD: Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go), and deep comfort in secure Linux-based environments.

• Monitoring/logging expertise: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK.

Advantages

• Familiarity with Istio, Linkerd, ArgoCD, KEDA, OpenTelemetry.

• Knowledge in InfoSec (SOC2, ISO standards, Kubernetes hardening).

• Experience with On-Prem or Sovereign Cloud.

• Background in FinOps, cost-efficiency, or distributed system performance tuning.
