Location: Global (full-time, hybrid)

About High Lander

High Lander provides drone fleet and uncrewed traffic management software solutions to clients around the world. Our platforms empower people to take full advantage of drone technology, while providing authorities with the tools they need to maintain safety in the sky.

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager - Aviation & Regulatory Affairs - a key figure who will be the face of Vega, High Lander’s UTM system, in the global aviation and regulatory ecosystem.

This role blends deep aviation and regulatory understanding with strong business development skills.
You’ll build relationships with aviation authorities and governments, open new markets, lead complex public tenders, and represent High Lander on the international stage.

We’re looking for someone who feels equally comfortable in boardrooms and on stage - a professional who can engage regulators, influence decision makers, and tell the Vega story with authority, clarity, and passion.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with aviation authorities, government agencies, and regulators worldwide.

  • Identify and open new markets, and lead public procurement and tender processes.

  • Initiate meetings with senior decision-makers and uncover new partnership opportunities.

  • Translate regulatory and operational needs into product and business requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Project Managers to advance complex, long-term sales processes.

  • Represent High Lander and Vega in international conferences and panels – presenting, speaking, and building brand presence.

Professional requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in traditional aviation (pilot, navigator, air traffic controller, or similar), or equivalent professional experience in business development or government relations roles with proven, in-depth knowledge of the aviation, airspace, and regulatory domains – mandatory.

  • 4+ years of experience in business development, government relations, or public-sector sales involving international stakeholders – mandatory.

  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written) – mandatory; additional languages – advantage.

  • Strong understanding of the aviation and airspace management ecosystem.

  • Experience leading public tenders and preparing complex proposals (RFP/RFQ).

  • Experience working with government bodies or civil aviation authorities.

  • Academic degree in Business Administration, Engineering, International Relations, or a relevant field – advantage.

  • Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.

Who You Are

  • A professional with a deep understanding of aviation and the ability to engage with regulatory and governmental stakeholders.

  • A natural relationship builder with patience and persistence for long-term engagement.

  • A collaborative team player who builds trust across teams and cultures.

  • A confident public speaker, comfortable leading presentations, panels, and international discussions.

  • Curious, proactive, and passionate about shaping the future of uncrewed aviation on a global scale.
